Mods In Testing

Starting off with the mods testing list. Today, we’ve got 125 mods on the list:

  • 84 in Stage 1 (PC Testing)
  • 41 in Stage 2 (Console Testing)

We still have 166 mods sitting waiting to be tested. And the current average waiting time for newly submitted mods is about 8 workdays.

New Mods

In addition to the mods in testing; 19 new and updated mods were released today on the ingame modhub.

  • All Platforms – 9 New, 1 Update
  • PC & Mac – 6 New, 3 Update

I have already made a video showing these off, so make sure you check that out if you haven’t seen it already!

New DLC

Yesterday, a new DLC was announced for Farm Sim 22; the Farm Production Pack, releasing on Tuesday April 30th for all platforms. It’s a 3rd Party DLC by Dutch Modding Inc, who are changing their name to Design, Modeling, and Innovation. The pack includes 24 buildings and placeables used as Productions, Sell Points, but mostly just sheds.

The new sell points do offer dynamic pricing and daily demands, similar to the way it was back in FS17 and 19. The DLC is $7.99 USD, and is not bundled with any season passes. It’s a stand-alone DLC.

SteamDB

Likewise, this was the Unknown App on SteamDB, being updated yesterday morning. So no more wondering what is coming next. It looks like this will be the last DLC for FS22, but you never know.

Oma Tana – Mod Name Change

The name of the DLC, Farm Production Pack, might sound familiar to you… as OmaTana released a mod pack a few years ago for FS22 under the same name. However, this was changed in a recent update, along with another mod called “Farm Production” both with the same changelog;

  • Altered the Mod Name – No other changes have been made.

They are now called “Yard Production Pack” and “Farm Supply Productions” These changes were made by the ModHub Team, and OmaTana did say it was ok, at least for one of the mods.

Seeing this still worries me a little though, as it tells me that even well-established mods can have to have their names changed if someone comes in, like DMI, and says “no, I want that name for my DLC!” My guess is that DMI never even looked to see if the name had been taken by a mod yet, and it was too late to change the name of the DLC by the time it was caught. So OmaTana’s mods had to change. At least, that’s what it looks like on the outside looking in.

Giants Hiring

Recently Giants expanded the QA Team, and now they are expanding even more with new hirings going on for all of their offices around the world. Included is a Community Coordinator position in the German Office. Lars and Chaki are already there, including Kermit here in the states, so it looks like the Community Team is growing!

Additionally, they are hiring 13 other positions in Germany, Czech Republic, Switzerland, and right here in the USA! The Chicago office is hiring a stagehand; which makes me wonder, will we be getting FSL Stages in the US? This job title makes me think that, but this is all we’ve got to see so far. I’ll keep you posted if any of this develops!

Farming Simulator Modding News

Celobuki

So then, let’s jump over to modder news and talk about Celobuki and their current plans for the rest of Farm Sim 22 and beyond. First, they are holding off plans for Murray Iowa until the next game, assuming a new game comes out this year. Otherwise, they’ll finish Murray for FS22 later this year. Similar story with their Bosnian Map.

As for the updates to Alma and Ravenport, they are both width Giants, with Alma in testing right now. After this update for Alma, Celobuki will be reaching out for permissions to include baby animals in the future. That update will require a new save, and is planned for release sometime in June.

Mappers Paradise

Celobuki is still staying busy, as they have teamed up with Mappers Paradise to bring one of the largest grain and seed operations to your farm! Located near Swift Current, Canada… Monette Seeds is a bulk grain and seed storage facility with a huge capacity! They are currently working on this to bring it to Farm Sim 22 on all platforms!

Classic American Icons

Next up, good news from Classic American Icons as their BigBud Series 1 are now with Giants awaiting testing. Complete with an optional Welker Farms Logo, and possibly more! For those of you that have been wanting to go even more realistic with a Welker Farms Setup, this might be just what you’ve been waiting for. Of course, you can use it on any map you wish!

Agro Tonho

And lastly today, Agro Tonho dropped the spec list for their John Deere 8030, along with some Demco Sidequest tanks! The 8030 will have:

  • 6x different engines from 265 to 445 hp
  • Including 8020, 30, and 40 models all with a Chiptune variant
  • Wide and narrow tracks with normal or 3m extensions

As for the Sidequest tanks, we’re getting the 1000 and 1200’s. Which hold liquid fertilizer or herbicide. These mods are with Giants right now awaiting testing.
