Official information is now available on the Year 2 Season Pass for Farming Simulator 22! Players can purchase it for $39.99 USD on whatever platform you play Farm Sim 22 on! And you can support the channel directly by using the link at the bottom of this post right now to get it on PC!

Additionally, players that purchase the Year 2 Season Pass, no matter the platform, will also get the Volvo LM 845 Wheel Loader, which was added to the game files back in update 1.8.1, but is hidden and needs to be unlocked. However, you will gain access to this machine right now, just by picking up the Year 2 Season Pass.

Included will be 5 different DLC packs throughout 2023;

  • DLC Pack 1, which will be releasing in Q1, Early 2023, and will “Take baling a step further”
  • DLC Pack 2, releasing in Q2, Mid Year, with “Machines to rule the mountains”
  • DLC Pack 3, releasing in Q3, also Mid Year, which will be a Bonus Pack
  • DLC Pack 4, releasing late 2023 to include “Equipment to improve productivity”
  • And the next Game Expansion, which will include a new map, “lush with exciting crops”

Guesses have been made on what these packs could be, and I will talk about mine in a moment.

As I mentioned, the Year 2 Season Pass is $39.99 USD, which Giants say is up to a 30% Discount over what it would cost to buy all 5 DLC Packs separately. Meaning, that all 5 packs combined could be close to $60 USD.

Just by guessing, I would say the expansion will be around $20, and the rest would average around $10 each. Might have one that’s $7 or something, one close to $15, but they won’t get too crazy. I will be doing a giveaway for at least one copy of the Season Pass on PC during our Christmas Stream Week from December 19th through the 24th, so stay tuned for that.

So what could these DLC’s be? I’ve got a few guesses. First off is Pack 1: Take Baling A Step Further. We’ve got a round bale with a corn icon on it, meaning something similar to Maize-Plus, at least that would be my guess.

  • Wrapped Corn Silage Bales
  • Different feed mixes for animals
  • Perhaps even new balers and wrappers

No matter what this could be, I’m hoping we get to see something game changing that we’ve never been able to do before.

So what could these DLC’s be? I’ve got a few guesses.

Pack 1: Take Baling A Step Further. We’ve got a round bale with a corn icon on it, meaning something similar to Maize-Plus, at least that would be my guess.

  • Wrapped Corn Silage Bales
  • Different feed mixes for animals

Pack 2: Machines to Rule the Mountains. At first I was thinking this could be similar to an Alpine Farming Part 2, especially since there’s grass on the icon, however some have said that this could also be something like Mining or the like, and including more Volvo machines and Rock Trucks, since there’s still a lot of equipment that could be included. I’m still leaning towards Alpine Farming Part 2, myself, but I want it to be the latter!

Pack 3: A Bonus Pack! I wouldn’t even know where to start with this. It’s a box with action icons coming out of it. There’s just not enough here to come up with an exact idea, so I would love to hear what you think this could be. Or better, what do you WANT it to be?

Pack 4 Equipment to Improve Productivity; my favorite on this page by far. I mean, that’s obviously a shovel digging in the ground, right? Perhaps it’s hand tools. Maybe it’s the ability to (finally) dig in the ground.

Hand tools don’t really “improve productivity.” But then again, neither does digging in the ground. Both those things take forever to do. So, I’m not sure. But I really hope this is a shovel and that hand tools are finally making their way into the game officially!

Pack 5: Big Expansion! Explore a New Map, Lush with Exciting Crops! Can’t really hide the carrot in this screenshot can you? (haha) We’ve definitely got a new map coming, which looks very Old-European to me. Of course, we’ve got the name of the map at the bottom, but it’s covered up.

There’s a few things there I don’t recognize, so I’m guessing not English at the very least. But the big giveaway here, the Carrot Icon! It’s done in a similar art style to the icons in-game, so we should be seeing Carrot Farming with the Year 2 Expansion! That doesn’t mean we will, but if we don’t, we’ll be going back to this pick and asking how we got it wrong, that’s for sure!

Speaking of Giants, we’ve got some official text from them as well! They say;

“We’re preparing the field for the second year of Farming Simulator 22: new crops will sprout from the soil of a new environment, while new brand partners introduce a series of exciting machines!”

“While the road map for release is already laid out, we’re not yet ready to announce the exact contents of the season pass. There are dedicated announcements to prepare with our partners, and we’d like to sit down and bring you the news. Together.”

“Don’t worry, you don’t have to wait that long for the announcement of the first new pack, as it’s currently scheduled for early 2023!”

“We are not done with Farming Simulator 22 by a long shot! We will introduce even more machines, mechanics, and brand partnerships our dedicated community can look forward to in the very near future. With over four million copies sold since launch, we have all the more reason to upgrade the second season pass with even more content than before.”

So, what do you think about the Year 2 Season Pass for Farming Simulator 22? Are you excited about the new things coming to the game? Are you planning on picking it up? Or are you going to wait to see each DLC before making your predictions? As always, I would love to know your opinions and ideas in the comments covering this topic on YouTube.

Don’t forget, you can buy the Year 2 Season Pass right now via the link at the bottom. And make sure you use the code DJGOHAM at checkout. That goes to help support the channel, at no additional cost to you.
